| WINTER 05' REPORTS |

| 2006 Reports: March 13: The yellow perch run is in high gear. Get out while you can. The Tuckahoe River is loaded with yellow as I type this. 5wt with a 7 ft sink tip will get you fish. Rio has come out with a great line for this kind of fishing. It will also be suitable for the soon to be white perch run. Expect these little guys in the next two weeks. Striped bass are being caught on the flats right now. Most of them are small males in the 18 to 24 inch class. They will soon be followed by the ones we are all after... the big girls. We are doing very well with the water quality this year. Let's just keep our fingers crossed over the next two weeks. This could be one heck of a year for the flats!!! Shad are not far away either. I noticed some herring in the Potomac yesterday. That means the shad are on their heels. Everything seems to be moving along a week or two ahead of schedule this year. Just KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!!!! RAIN RAIN STAY AWAY!!!!! |
